Back to School Night

This is a parent only weekday evening event at the beginning of the year. This is a chance to hear from our Principal Lisa Lamar in the MPR as well as PTA and Kiddo! representatives to learn more about programming and events for the school year. You will also have the opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and check out their classrooms!
PTA-Sponsored Parent Party Kick-Off Party

Parent Parties are a major fundraiser for PTA and goes to support all of the programming that PTA brings to Tam Valley School—students, teachers, staff, and families—all year long! What better way to kick-off Parent Parties than to start off with a community parent party to have some fun, unwind, connect with new and old pals, and learn more about the parent parties planned for the upcoming school year!

PTA-Sponsored Movie Night

Join other Tam Valley families under the fall skies with blankets, sleeping bags, popcorn, hot chocolate, and a family friendly movie. Movie Night is the weekend before Walk-a-thon and is the kick-off to a week of Tam Spirit Days leading up to Walk-a-thon.

PTA-Sponsored Walk-a-thon

Tam Valley School’s major PTA fundraiser has been a tradition at our school for many years. This event is a tremendous community building event where students have fun walking laps around the school while parents cheer them on, eat great food, shop at the Online Auction and more.
This is a free community event sponsored by your Tam Valley PTA.
Walk-a-thon fundraising supports our students, teachers and community by backing: Requested grade-level curriculum; science/naturalist and garden education; assemblies; field trips; school-wide community-building and educational events; school ground and playground improvements; and many more programs identified by the administration.
PTA-Sponsored Book Fair
Monday to Friday, November 18th to 22nd, 2024 // Tam Valley School MPR
Let's get reading Tam Tigers, time to build up our home and classroom libraries! This is a long-held tradition where Tam Valley PTA coordinates with a book seller to bring books for purchase to our MPR. Many children and parents enjoy taking this opportunity to check off holiday gift wish lists! Note, Book Fair supports funding the PTA 5th grade legacy book program where each 5th grader has a book left to our school library in their honor.
PTA-Sponsored Science Nights
Tuesday + Wednesday, February 11th + 12th, 2025 // Tam Valley School MPR
Tam Valley STEAM Nights are a non-competitive, fun opportunity for Tam Tigers from ANY grade to sign up to prepare and share a science project to exhibit their love of science and/or engineering. There are also daily science and engineering elective activities offered in-school where all students are welcome during science week.
PTA-Sponsored Tam Valley Cabaret Variety Show
Friday + Saturday, March 28th + 29th, 2025 // Tam Valley School MPR
Every year Tam Tigers look forward to sharing their unique talents with our school community! The show is an inclusive and collaborative variety show featuring kids of all grades with acts ranging from skits, instruments, poetry, dance, comedy, singing, break dancing, rap, band performances, gymnastics, storytelling, and much more!

Get ready for number crunching fun! Children will have math challenges tailored to their age and mathematical abilities. Tam Valley PTA presents a night to get students enthusiastic about math with fun, interactive games that help to develop and practice various math skills!
Tam Valley School Open House

Time to celebrate all of the amazing work your child has accomplished this school year! This child-led event is one of the highlights of the school year where your student will have the opportunity to share projects, art and more. This is sure to be a fun and memorable night for the whole family!
5th Grade Promotion + Last Day of School (MINIMUM DAY)

Goodbye school year and hello summer for the last day of school! AND join us for a promotion celebration for our 5th grade students. Let's celebrate their accomplishments, reflect and say farewell as they make their way to middle school!
